Bastion Investment Group LLC is a real estate solutions company located in Monroe, NC. We are a husband – wife team and are known in our market as “Gene and Nadia”.
Gene White has been a resident of the Union County community of Monroe, NC since 1971. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Clemson University.
In his first career, Gene was a director of sales engineering in the textile machinery control systems industry. He was acting as a liaison and project coordinator for international client’s equipment needs and trouble shooting system failures.
In 1998, Gene founded ISU, Inc., an international finance brokerage firm, originating and placing over 108 million dollars in commercial private placement financing for start-up companies world-wide. Gene was also instrumental in identifying and coordinating with US government attorneys and the FBI fraud investigations that brought to light over 35 million dollars of commercial fraud indictments.
In 2000, Gene began investing personally in real estate as a long term investment. He specialized in buying rundown houses, renovating them back to the original or better and reselling them to the general public (A business type made famous by the ‘Flip This House’ TV shows). Since that time, Gene has sold over 5 million dollars of single family homes in the metro-Charlotte area.

Nadia White is Belgian and comes from a family of entrepreneurs. Her parents and grandparents owned their own businesses and had an entrepreneurial spirit. She got bitten by the real estate bug back in Europe, since her parents were both real estate agents for several years.
She has lived in Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, France and South Africa and has traveled the world extensively. Established in North Carolina since 2001, she is now rooted in Monroe, where she lives with her husband.
Her 25 years of experience in the international banking industry and her analytical skills allowed her to transition to the IT world in 1997, becoming a project manager for Misys International Banking Systems.
When assigned to the Charlotte market in 2001, she discovered that the American entrepreneurial spirit was not a myth. The Corporate world quickly started to feel too restrictive. That is when she decided to make a big jump and to become a business coach and consultant, after graduating from the prestigious Coach Training Alliance School.
Meeting her husband, Gene, awoke back that real estate bug that was asleep… and she embraced her husband’s passion.
Combining her knowledge of small businesses and her passion for real estate, she now partners with her husband in every aspect of a successful real estate investment business.
